A church is not a building or a program.
A church is a group of people, gathering together at various times in various places.
The Greek word we translate as "church" is "ecclesia", which means "the assembly" - those who gather together.
That's what we do at Elko First Baptist - we gather together, to worship God - in singing and in prayer, in sharing all that God has blessed us with.
Our time together on Sunday mornings is just a start. It's a time to honor God, learn from the Bible, encourage one another, be encouraged - and then we go out to share what we have learned with our families, friends and co-workers. Come check us out and see for yourself!
